Finally back. Lots to share!

Well, it's been almost a week since I posted last. Guess that's what happens when you and your 3 year old both decide to get strep for the second time since December. Fortunately, after 2 rounds of antibiotics I think I am back to normal. Well, as normal as I get. ;)

Even though I haven't posted in a while I've been working on a few things. So many things, actually, that I can't seem to keep up with what I have already posted. I am going to try and catch up on it all this week. So, if you see something that I already shared feel free to roll your eyes and shake your head...I get that a lot around here so I'm used to it :)

First up I have a few things using baker's twine from The Twinery.

I was guest designer there a few weeks back and created this card that I showed you a peek of a the time. It uses lots of twine, my Scor-pal and my newest stamp set Girl Talk.

Tips:
*Create a 3D frame by adhering twine inside lines of stamped image
*Tie small bow separately and adhere with liquid adhesive
*For perfectly aligned rows of twine, use a scoring board to create 1/2-inch lines and then line twine up along edge of each one

I made this next card for this week's CPS sketch where The Twinery is sponsoring.
For it I  combined the twine with several Die-namics dies (rainbow, sun, wonky scallop border) from My Favorite Things and smashed the bottle cap with my Big Shot and No More Shims embossing mat. This is much like a previous card I made. Check this post for tips on making the sun and adhering the rainbow.

Today is my last day as guest at Sweet Stamp Shop. If you didn't make it over there last week here is a peek at one of the cards I made. Clean and simple, as always. I used some of the new Echo Park Paper Oh Boy line, my Touch Twin Markers from Shinhan and some corner punches from Fiskars.

Now a question for you all. I have noticed that a lot of bloggers are now adding images/links to their posts so you can easily shop for items used on the projects shown. I usually add link to products I used and have been looking into doing that for a while but haven't took the time to pursue it and set up the links.

What's you opinion, do you like seeing those links (with images) or not?

I like it for stamp sets, but things like ink I just need the brand and color. Or with dies, brand and die- name. I took a look at it but seemed an aweful lot of work to set up all your supplies. And where do you link to - to the manufacturer or to a retailer? For me in SA it's also not practical since my retailer is totally irrelevant to overseas visitors. My 2c. :-). Glad you're back!

Great cards! I have seen some of these in other places :)

I personally don't pay too much attention to those links. I do look at them if I am curious about a product, but only for the name, I don't use the links. So a list of products would work just as well as links.

GREAT cards.....I too {heart} The Twinery's Bakers Twine, so many gorgeous colors! I think the links are helpful if someone wants to make a purchase!

Glad you're back & feeling better! Love your cards! I sometimes use the links to see a certain stamp set, maybe an embellishment, too.

Glad you're feeling better. Your cards are cute. I especially liked the rainbow card. My computer is so slow, I prefer to see the images rather than just the links. Sometimes if I click on a link, my computer freezes.

For me, just a link without a picture is sufficient. I don't really pay a lot of attention to the picture links and it sure seems like a lot of work for you. Just my 2 cents.

Glad you're feeling better.

As for the pictures, I never click on any of them, but peeps seem to love them. I tried to set it up to do those, too much work for me -lol!

Great cards as usual Tami. I do like the link displayed as well although I am not in the same country as you. Sometimes I can find similar items here in Australia.

Glad you guys are getting better and your cards are gorgeous! The product lists are handy when there's a new product or technique I'm unaware of but I don't use the links at all. I've looked into it as well for my blog and I think it's good to list your products but its an awful lot of work to add pictures with links :) Just my 2c!

Great cards! I love your use of twine and bling. So colourful.
I never bother with the pics at the bottom of the post since I prefer to just use the projects as inspiration, not instruction.
Thanks for sharing your inspiration! :)
