Clean and Simple cards using Tim Holtz dies from Sizzix

Anyone who is familiar with my work knows I am a Clean and Simple designer. Anyone who knows the work of Tim Holt (duh. everyone.) knows he isn't. So, when you think of my work with Sizzix you'd probably think the Tim Holtz line would not be one I would choose to work with on a regular basis. But, to the contrary, it is almost always one of my top picks. The great things about the Tim Holtz line is that it is perfect for everyone, even if you're not another Tim.

Two of the latest additions to my large collection of are the ones shown below, Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Mixed Media #2 and Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 4PK - Detailed Butterflies.

These dies, like many others, make clean and simple cards virtually effortless. The Detailed Butterflies, for example, can be die-cut and layered for a great visual effect.

Simply die-cut one detailed overlay (left) and place onto solid base (right).

And the Mixed Media #2 used with white on white? Lace-like perfection.

To make this card simply cut a white panel slightly smaller than your card base.  Die-cut bottom left corner using the Mixed Media #2 die. Adhere this panel to the card front.

Die-cut your Detailed Butterfly base from patterned paper and intricate overlay from a coordinating solid. Layer together and adhere to card front.

Stamp the sentiment and it's ready to give!
