Sending Peaceful Wishes with This Handmade Card

Good Morning! I'm back again today with another card to share using some fun Tim Holtz dies and Reverse Confetti stamps. That's right, I'm posting two days in a row! Can you believe it!? If that shocks you then you better be sitting down when I say I have a second post coming up later this morning with a DIY home decor project *and* another card tomorrow!

Below you'll find the complete supply list, step-by-step instructions and a list of tips for this project. If you have any questions or comments just leave me a note and I'll be sure to get back to you!

Supplies:
Cardstock: kraft, white, dark brown
Light blue patterned paper
Reverse Confetti My Heart Trusts stamp set
Clearsnap chocolate ink pad
White silk ribbon
Natural twine
Buttons Galore and More 28 Lilac Lane Let it Snow embellishment kit
Light blue self-adhesive rhinestones
MISTI stamping tool
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®: EZ runner, Adhesive sheets

Instructions:
  • Form a 4.25 x 5.5-inch side-fold card from kraft cardstock.
  • Cut a piece of light blue paper slightly smaller than card base; attach adhesive sheet to back of panel.
  • Using photo as a guide, die-cut Mixed Media shape from patterned panel; remove adhesive backing and attach to card front.
  • Die-cut "Peace" from brown cardstock; adhere to card front.
  • Stamp sentiment onto white cardstock; trim as shown and adhere to card front.
  • Embellish card front using rhinestones.
  • Wrap card front with ribbon; tie into a bow.
  • Tie button to center of bow using twine.
*Ideas to note:

--Before die-cutting intricate designs such as the
Mixed Media pattern attach an adhesive sheet to the back of your paper. Once die-cut, peel off the backing and attach to project.

--Use the Sizzix Die Brush with foam pad to thoroughly remove small areas from designs with many small pieces.

--Use the Sizzix Magnetic Platform to hold dies in the desired position for die-cutting.

--Trim stamped images into pieces to combine with die-cut shapes for added versatility.

*Use the following Sizzix sandwiches when die-cutting the pieces:
Thinlits Mixed Media:
Magnetic Platform, a Standard Cutting Pad,  paper, die (cutting side down), and, finally, the second Standard Cutting Pad.

Thinlits Vintage Tidings
Magnetic Platform, a Standard Cutting Pad,  cardstock, die (cutting side down), and, finally, the second Standard Cutting Pad.
