A sweet card featuring Stephanie Barnard and Sizzix

Hi all! SO much going on around here lately that I seem to have gotten somewhat sidetrack. Some recent events have been awesome, some not so much. If you follow me on Instagram you probably already know that I recently acquired an extra room which has become a guest/craft room. I'm super excited about it because now my space is more convenient and I will be able to do MUCH more crafting! In between some unexpected chaos I've managed to create several Sizzix projects this last week and have one of those to share today.

The die I used for this card is one of the new releases from Stephanie Barnard and Sizzix. This die is called Cupcake Fold-its. I love working with Stephanie's lines because they always make cute cards that are super simple. This one is no exception.

To begin you will want to take a piece of cardstock and fold it in half.

Next you will place the die onto your card positioning it so that there is a slight overhang where instructed. I love using my Extended Magnetic Platform for this because it keeps the die positioned right where I want it.

You'll notice on the die it is marked "place fold here" to create a top or side fold card. That is where the die will overhang the fold.

Once you have the base, simply die-cut the desired embellishment layers. I chose to use a patterned paper that looked like sprinkles along with the cupcake wrapper and cherry.

For the cupcake wrapper I pulled out my paper crimper and used it to add the look of an actual wrapper.

I layered it all on to the card base and that was it!

How fun is that!?
